illnesses were eliminated, the strain on available health
resources would be considerably relieved. It is true that
smoking ailments are not the only major health problem, but
they are one of the most needless. There has been a lot of
endeavour to put people off smoking and reduce the frequency of
smoking deaths, including the banning of smoking in many indoor
premises.
Continuing help is of great importance to those
who have decided to quit smoking. Information concerning
smoking deaths and related diseases, are good reasons to make
sure smokers are positive about their intention, to quit
smoking. It seems apparent that whilst cigarettes continue to
be available, there will be a demand for them. Nonetheless, as
more people become aware of the high proportion of smoking
deaths, more people will want to stop smoking as a way of
